Resourceful when creating jobs

Dynamic, innovative and successful in restructuring, the Saarland is also highly productive in creating new jobs. Since 1995, with the assistance of the Starter Centre at the University, 371 companies have been founded. Most of them in information technology, language technology, medical technology, biotechnology and the services sector.

The ‘Future Alliance of Saar Professionals’ focuses on women as professionals, not just for the sake of equality, but also for demographic reasons. The number of employed women in Saarland has thus increased by 15 percent since 2005 and is expected to grow by another 3 percent by 2025.
